Will you be going to Bromsgrove’s first ‘drive-in’ movie at Artrix?

BROMSGROVE will get its first ever ‘drive-in’ movie screening when Artrix shows hit musical film Grease later this month.

Residents will be able to add even more enjoyment to their ‘Summer Nights’ with the showings of the 70s singalong classic on August 19 and 20.

Bosses are hoping the event will lead to a sell-out audience predicting that Grease will be ‘the one that they want’.

In addition to the film, a choice of pre-bookable meals are available to choose from with each ticket. Some food, alcohol and other refreshments will also be available to buy on the night.

Artrix Director Hannah Phillips said: “We are looking to use our spaces at Artrix in innovative and interesting ways which is why we are so excited about launching our drive-in movies in the car park in August.”

The team at Artrix will not be ‘alone at a drive-in-movie’ as presenters from BBC Hereford and Worcester are arranging their own special screening of singalong Grease on the Saturday (August 20) at 3pm in the Artrix auditorium.

Tickets for the screening at Artrix are £20 per car, with a maximum of five people per car. Parking is available from 7.30pm and the film begins at 9pm.

Tickets for the singalong screening are £10 each and proceeds will go to BBC Children in Need.

Visit www.artrix.co.uk/grease or call 01527 577330 for more information as tickets are sure to sell out like ‘Grease Lightning’!
