Trail of art through Bromsgrove to demonstrate the work of Primrose Hospice

AN ART trail is being set up around Bromsgrove to promote the Primrose Hospice and the good work it does.

It has been put together by the Canal Side Studios which asked its local artists to produce pieces based on the Primrose.

So far 20 local traders have supported the campaign and will display the different works in their windows in the town centre from Monday (July 18).

They will be on show for a fortnight and it is then hoped the exhibition Artrix or to the library and the Primrose Hospice so it can be all seen in one place

Justine Humphries, local artist, founder and director of Canal Side Studios, said: “We were surprised to find, after talking to a volunteer, that the hospice is a small local charity.

“As the Primrose Hospice has a few shops we were under the impression it was a much larger organisation and thought other locals may also assume the charity was bigger.

“As the Canal Side Studios is a local non-for profit organisation, we felt we were in a position to help raise awareness of the hospice’s needs by asking out local artists to produce art based on the Primrose.”

Prints of all the artwork will be available for a small donation with proceeds going to the charity.

Any other local shops or artists interested in taking part should call Justine on 07725 488513
