Bromsgrove Folk Festival to make a welcome return to Stoke Prior pub this week

THE BROMSGROVE Folk Festival makes a welcome return to The Bowling Green Inn, Shaw Lane, Stoke Prior, next weekend.

On the Thursday evening, July 13, there is the Pre-Folk Festival Singin’, Suppin’ and Session. There is an eclectic music session in the pub and/or an acoustic night in the mini marquee. That event starts at 8pm and is free.

On the Friday evening, July 14, is resident band Fairfield, Don McKinnon, Keith Donnelly Ursula Holden Gill and Quicksilver. It starts at 4pm in the mini marquee and the main marquee at 7pm.

On the Saturday, July 15, the music starts at 5pm in the mini marquee and 7.30pm in the main marquee. The evening will feature The Lost Notes, The Gen Bartley Band, 3 Daft Monkeys and The Melrose Quartet.

On Sunday everything is free, including the walk in the morning, the brunchtime fun in the mini marquee and singin’ and suppin’ with Stitherum in the main marquee, the World Foam Flinging Championships, Step on Board and the Festival Finale.

Tickets are £24 for Friday night, £37 for Saturday all day, £18 for Saturday up to 6pm and £25 for Saturday after 6pm.

Alternatively, it is £47 for the whole weekend.
