Artrix Holding Trust thanked for vaccine role

THE ARTRIX Holding Trust has been thanked by SW Healthcare which was responsible for running the site as a Covid-19 vaccination centre.

All the equipment used to transform the School Drive building and others in the county has now been removed.

Claire Goodall, CEO at SW Healthcare, the GP federation, said: “We’re so very proud of the work achieved at Artrix, the Three Counties Showground, and St Peter’s Baptist Church since the start of 2021, and we want to say an enormous thank you to the teams who’ve played a part in making these sites such an incredible success throughout.

“Their drive, dedication and community spirit has been integral in making this programme the success that it is.

“We’ve been working hand-in-hand with our colleagues across GP practices and Primary Care Networks from the very beginning—and we’ll be continuing to support them through our vaccine outreach team, with roving vaccination vans and pop-ups operating across the county throughout the winter.”

The Bromsgrove and District Primary Care Network (PCN) has delivered the vaccinations alongside the Artrix team and will be running the autumn booster programme.

A PCN spokesperson said: “Primary care has been an integral part of the Covid-19 vaccine rollout from the very beginning, and we’ve been proud to work in partnership with the team at the Artrix to ensure every member of our community has the opportunity to receive their Covid-19 vaccination in a local primary care setting.”

GP practices are currently preparing to deliver both the Covid-19 autumn boosters and flu jabs to those eligible.

The spokesperson added: “These vaccines may be given at the same time, or they may happen separately, depending on when we receive our deliveries—but patients can rest assured that we’ll be offering a comprehensive vaccination programme for everyone who needs it this autumn.”

Vaccinations have started for frontline health and care workers, people who are immunosuppressed and people aged 75 and over.

There is no need for people to book or contact the NHS, those eligible will soon be contacted by their GP practice for their appointment.

The SW Healthcare outreach team will continue to support the PCN in delivering first, second and booster jab
