Our old mate, and former Fairfield member, John Connor has teamed up with local Devon singer Tricia Moore to form Silvington…….the result is a brilliant fusion of two like minds and talent.
John wrote much of Fairfield's repertoire before he finally decided to a self imposed exile in Devon and has continued to write some stunning songs………his reputation as a fine wordsmith travel before him.
Tricia has been a regular singer at Folk on the Moor and with her beautiful voice and guitar playing, it was perhaps inevitable that the pair would combine to produce the synergy that is Silvington
They have a new CD, Down the Line, combining some of John's new and old songs together with classic favourite trad…itional material and this evening will be its Midlands launch.
The duo has become firm favourites at Bromsgrove Folk Festival where, as well as performing, they also run the Festival Choir….BOTUMS.
The music starts at 8.00pm and admission is Members £7.00 (under 25s £3.50) None members who are always made to feel more than welcome £9.00 (Membership only costs a fiver for the year!)
