Sibelius Violin Concerto

Rhapsodic, lyrical, rhythmic, tender, but with gritty dissonances, this concerto is a unique example of the violin concerto genre. It not only demands extreme virtuosity but much physical stamina as the whole compass of the violin is engaged and explored. Charlotte Moseley presents this concerto in her home town of Bromsgrove.

Mahler Symphony no 4

Gustav Mahler’s wondrous Symphony no 4 shows all the characteristics of his distinctive vision: his love of nature, grotesque humour, scintillating orchestration, integration of song, and abstract instrumentals.  Claire Prewer's soprano role illustrates a child's vision of heaven.  This is Mahler's deeply personal art, but being the shortest of his symphonies, it is at once accessible, yet deeply affecting.

Tickets £10 in advance, £12 on the door, u16s free.
