Pearl, Jan, Shelley and Linda travel to Australia to spend some of their half a million pounds worth of winnings from Ladies Day, on a holiday with Joe their shift manager from the fish plant back in Hull.
From encounters with weird surfers, pot smoking hippies, enigmatic bushman and two fun loving drag queens, we see the colourful life of Oz. Laughter and arguments unfold and the themes and characters develop. The four friends explore some of life’s values that are important, but not necessarily obvious at first glance and to explore great female written roles with great comic style. Ladies Down Under is light-hearted but a worthy theatrical experience full of enjoyment and entertainment.
