Jez Lowe at Bromsgrove Folk Club

Catshill Social Club, Meadow Road, Catshill, B61 0JJ

Jez Lowe, who will be appearing at Bromsgrove Folk Club on Thursday 26th July, is not only one of the hardest working singer songwriters on the scene, but his songs are among the most widely sung by other performers.

A double nomination in the 2015 BBC Folk Awards – for best singer and best new song – was a timely reminder of his continuing standing in the UK folk and acoustic music scene.

Jez will be at the Club in his solo incarnation although he continues to collaborate with some of the best in the genre….Steve Tilston, The Pitmen Poets, The Bad Pennies alongside his work with the BBC's Radio Ballads

Jez’s latest project, earmarked for early 2018, is the publication of his first novel, The Dillen Doll, …with an accompanying CD featuring a “suite” of traditional songs inspired by the story within it. This endeavour sees him return to his roots in the folk music of his native North East England, and will be the focus of his work in the year ahead

Jez will be supported on the night by Fairfield, the club's popular resident band. The show, which will be held at the Club's regular venue, The Catshill Social Club, Meadow Road, B61 0JJ, gets under way at 8.00pm.

Admission prices are £10.00 for non-members, £8.00 for members and £4.00 for under 25s.
