This concert was originally planned for March 2nd 2021 – the exact centenary of Robert Simpson’s birth. Alas that could not be, but the Tippett Qt did kindly film a performance of the Simpson No 1 for us, which we were able to stream on the day itself. But now we can have the whole concert ‘live’ exactly as planned. This will be their 5th visit to Bromsgrove, starting in 2002, and their last two visits have also included Simpson Quartets – Nos 11 & 14.
