Avoncroft Museum of Buildings – The Singular Exploits of Sherlock Holmes

Featuring the great detective recounting highlights of his crime-busting career, the show also includes autobiographical snippets detailing his life and times, the adversaries he has faced and mysteries he has solved. The performance is an affectionate one-man homage to the world’s greatest detective that includes quick costume changes and wry humour.

We are delighted to welcome the wonderful Jonathan Goodwin to Avoncroft Museum for his high energy one-man show featuring the world’s greatest detective recounting highlights of his crime-busting career.  There will be an opportunity for the audience to ask the sleuth questions about his life and time, his most dastardly adversaries and the mysteries he has solved.

The show has been described as “brilliant, witty, intelligent fun theatre”

Jonathan is a true Sherlock Holmes fan and has been from an early age.  He was very nearly the youngest ever member of the London Sherlock Holmes Society but was just pipped at the post by a precocious Stephen Fry.

The show is presented by Don’t Go Into The Cellar! Theatre Company, specialist purveyors of Macabre Victoriana.
