Autumn Showcase at Bromsgrove Folk Club

Another great night in prospect as performers hopeful of earning a full paid gig at either Bromsgrove Folk Club and/or Festival give of their best. This time around we will bew presenbting for your delictation….

Notts Alliance – unaccompanied harmony group with material from the folk tradition and thereabouts who have gained a reputation for tight and inventive harmony singing. Their repertoire includes arrangements of songs from some of the best of today’s songwriters including Richard Thompson, Pete Morton, Maggie Holland as well as a good helping of traditional material.

Mac and Friends – After leaving Bromsgrove Folk Club residents, Fairfield, Mac Rawlins joined the local operatic society and, inevitably, formed a splinted group to assist him in performing his favourite songs. Expect and eclectic mix of music and a great dollop of humour

Set 'em up Joe – are a four piece band based in Malvern England, well known for their vast repertoire of folk, country and jazz songs and tunes. They've been together for years and have played at many festivals, concerts pub gigs etc. Their sound is upbeat and infectious, and appeals to people from every age group.

Thomson, York and Moore – Excellent eclectic music…playing mostly original songs featuring guitars, harmony vocals and mandolin. Their CD was recently featured on local radio.

Another fine night in prospect….what fun we shall have!!
