    Children's Concert - a short, free concert, including:

     

    • Bizet   Jeux d'Enfants, with dancing provided by a local school
    • Saint-Saëns   Carnival of the Animals, with poetry narrated by Aaron Prewer-Jenkinson
      The concert will be set around four hands on one piano, accompanied by five string instruments, flute, clarinet, xylophone and glockenspiel. The fours hands will be provided by Benjamin Frith and Alastair Moseley

    • Fairfield - Bromsgrove Folk Club's own resident band singing anything from trad to self-penned gems. Their new LIVE CD will be on sale on this night
    • Gren Bartley - Effortlessly astonishing guitar and banjo playing and a soft absorbing voice to take you on a journey through the ever growing link between traditional English songs to the darkest American blues ballads.
    • John Tams and Barry Coupe - Representing the best in British music, John is renowned for his work with The National Theatre, as rifleman Daniel Hagman in the Sharpe TV series and is a member of Home Service voted Best Live Act at this yeare's BBC2 Folk Awards. Barry is part of Coupe Boyes and Simpson who regaled last years Festival auduience with their fine harmonies.
    • Blackbeard's Tea Party - To finish off the night we have one enormous, sing-along, stomp-along, dance-along, monster of a folk band. These kids just won't sit still and neither will you. Bring your dancing pumps (or wellies!)

    .....and that's not all in and around the pub all over the weekend there will be sessions, singarounds, dance displayes and, of course, on Sunday, The World Dry Foam Flinging Championships.

    On Monday 4th June to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Event there will be a special event in Sanders Park starting at 12.00 noon and finishing at 5.00pm

    The programme will include music from local talented performers and bands and a community sing-a-long from 2.00pm - 2.30pm led by North Bromsgrove High School's Steve Cowperthwaite.

    Family fun activities will include arts workshops, circus skills and games. Something for everyone in fact.
